After reading this book I decided to plant a garden in May, for the first time in years. The excellent references provided by The Call of the Land will help me get started. Steven McFadden made me realize that true change should arise from the local community level,with each one of us becoming involved with the land and supporting our farmers and gardeners. I’ll be watching for those seed catalogues in January!
